Two fee free jewellery workshops for art, design and jewellery students and professionals in Dessau and Leipzig (two day long each)_Germany in Fall 2019.
The workshops’ programme include an introduction to the history of conceptually significant jewellery made of valueless materials, as well as designing „valueless“ jewellery with a significant political message.
The workshops are chaired by Christoph Ziegler and Loukia Richards, curators of the double show Wert/voll.
The Dessau workshop dates are: 9 and 10 October 2019, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Leipzig workshop dates are: 2 and 3 November 2019, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wert/voll opens on 11 September at the Federal Agency For the Environment (UBA) in Dessau and on 15 October in Grassi Museum Leipzig.
It features works by Daniel von Weinberger, Marion Delarue, Unk Kraus, Peter Vermandere, Doerthe Fuchs, Amelie Spitz, Zeyun Cheng, Linda Savineau, Yael Friedman, Ludwig Menzel, Elin Flognman Nicole Taubinger, Lital Mendel, Samantha Laddin, Oliver Rinke, Yiping Li, Fabiana Gadano, Adriana Radulescu, Christoph Ziegler, Loukia Richards.
The exhibition will also run during Grassimesse, the oldest fair for appied art in Europe.
Jewellery made of organic and recyclable material, objets trouvés and ready mades, paper and textile, 3D print and e-waste, reflects the present discourse on climate change, energy autarchy and environmentally conscious growth dominating German politics.
