Art lovers, defy the segregation of the art market!

With the digital art market already divided into elite and plebs, there is not much options left to the Defier of the Rules but to go public! ZLR Betriebsimperium uses ebay’s sale strategy as its Trojan Horse to question segregation in the Creative Industry’s digital space.

Ebay, a sale platform for mass production items and conventional objects, becomes the stage for a series of 12 Sunday auctions featuring selected ZLR Betriebsimperium jewellery (from 5 August to 2 November 2018). Our experiment also examines the platform’s potential to raise public awareness, reach new customers and communicate messages on art, politics, new economy. “Rainbow Becquerel” is a brooch addressing trivilization of hashtag#environmental_catastrophes via political discourse and media.
